PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy combines a vast array of technics for prevention, training and rehabilitation. Exercises as well as physical therapies and manual treatments are used side by side.
While historically being invented by the swedish gymnast Pehr Hendrik Ling in the early 19th century, similar systems can be found in all centuries and cultures around the world (China: Tuina; Greek: Gymnastik; India: Yoga; Germany: Turnvater Jahn, Kneipp; etc.) which keep inspiring the modern Physiotherapy until today.
What it is about:
- supporting rehabilitation after operations and accidents
- supporting prevention through highly individualized training exercises & workouts to sustain correct, healthy position and functionality of the body
- manual therapy to correct misalignments and static dysbalances of muscles, ligaments, capsules and joints
- different kinds of massage to activate various structures of the body
For additional support physical therapies like applying of warm or cold packages, compression- and electro therapy as well as taping are used.
