AYURVEDIC MEDICINE

Ayurveda, the „knowledge of life“, is an approximately 5000 – 7000 years old indian tradition of medicine.

The approach is to balance the three dosas  „Vata“, „Pita“, and „Kapha“. It is thought, that all sickness derives from an imbalance of these constitutions.

While Homeopathic Medicine uses the law of similars („let like be cured by like“), the principles of Ayurveda mainly treat imbalances by their opposites.

Ayurvedic Medicine consists of a vast amount of therapy methods to maintain or regain the dosa-balance and therefor has an outstanding focus on treating chronic diseases. While most of those methods focus on in-depth detoxification of all possible body structures, many of them also address the mind.

The biggest sections cover:

  • Detoxification
  • Nutrition
  • Application of highly dosed medicinal herb-oils
  • Abjangha (Herbal Oil) and Marma (Acupressure of Vitalpoints) Massage
  • Teaching a daily procedure according to individual constitution

Thanks to the side effect of „more healthy equals more beauty“, Ayurveda got a lot of appreciation in the area of beauty and wellness in the west.
